Compliance Officer Asset Management (temporary)
What you can expect from us:
  • You will be part of PwC’s Flexible Legal Resources
  • You support clients on in-house compliance matters with a focus on Asset Management, as a single project secondee or part of a team solution
  • You will independently monitor and control compliance and regulatory risks relating to FINMA licensed Asset Managers and their business activities
  • You design, develop, maintain, oversee, and execute compliance programs (incl. policies, training, monitoring and enforcement)
  • You define standards by advising and assisting the business in their day to day activities, you review and approve fund/product documentation and act as a compliance promoter
  • You monitor business activities on all levels based on regular and ad-hoc compliance risk assessments (incl. exercise of routine controls and thematic reviews)
  • You communicate clearly and concisely on complex regulatory and compliance issues and provide structured and regular in-depth analysis of potential asset management compliance, operational or reputational risks
  • You review (new) business initiatives from a regulatory and best practice perspective
  • You routinely monitor and assess regulatory changes and developments, inform key stakeholders of developments and their impact on the client firm to determine appropriate actions to ensure compliance
  • You drive strategic alignment with the client’s standards and consult with subject matter experts
  • You provide proactive and ongoing guidance on existing Swiss and relevant foreign laws and regulations, supervisory and governance structures and practices, existing and new products as well as new business initiatives
What we expect from you:
  • You have obtained a law degree from a recognized University
  • If you have a foreign nationality you have a valid Swiss working permit
  • You have sound in-house experience (6-8 years) within the financial services industry and held a comparable role in the past
  • You are perfectly fluent in English (with excellent writing skills) and ideally fluent in German and/or French
  • You have strong communication and organizational skills and you are able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • You have the ability to adapt to large and complex structures with varying priorities, are comfortable multi-tasking and a person who can prioritize and work on numerous projects simultaneously
